2 Visit Korean delegation 26-Sep-2011
  On 26 September a delegation from Korea Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, ASAN Medical Center, Konkuk University Hospital and Cheil General Hospital and Women's Healthcare Center visited the Network Laboratory of Dr. Weykamp in the Netherlands to learn about the Reference Measurement Procedure and the Network.

3 Change Korean candidate reference laboratory 3-Aug-2011
  In Korea it was decided that the Reference Measurement Procedure will not be operatied by the Eone Reference Laboratory but by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Network welcomes this lab.

15 Annual Meeting of the IFCC WG 23-Feb-2010
  The IFCC Working Group had its annual meeting in Cape Town. Issues discussed were the status of the implementation of the IFCC units in respective countries, the Master Equation IFCC-JDS/JSCC and the initiation of the IFCC Integrated Project.

16 IFCC units implemented in the Netherlands 12-Nov-2009
  The IFCC units are implemented in the Netherlands. The process is coordinated by a Steering Committee with representatives of patient organisations, associations of professionals and the society for clinical chemistry. A professional communical campaign to guide the change is coordinated by the umbrella organisation NDF, financially supported by the ministry of health. 19 IFCC Numbers in mmol/mol 5-Sep-2008
  Following the Consensus Statement all Network Laboratories will start reporting their IFCC HbA1c results in mmol/mol starting from the 1st of October 2008. Manufacturers and EQA organisers collaborating with the Network are informed on this by mail.

20 Fifteenth Intercomparison Study completed 3-Sep-2008
  The HbA1c Network of Reference Laboratories organises two intercomparison studies a year to re-approve (or not) the individual network laboratories. The updated list of approved network laboratories can be found at the homepage of this website.

21 Third Statistics Paper 10-Jul-2008
  For the HbA1c Network specific statistics have been developed. The last paper in a series of three -on statistics of Master Equations- appeared in Clin Chem (Clin Chem 2008;54:1379-85). Two previous papers appeared in 2006: on rules for approval of network laboratories (Journal of Testing and Evaluation, Mar. 2006, vol. 34, No. 2) and on uncertainty calculations in the setting of networks (Accred Qual Assur (2006) 11: 319-328).

23 Paper IFCC Network 18-Feb-2008
  Publication: The IFCC Reference Measurement System for HbA1c: A 6-Year Progress Report (Clin Chem 2008;54:240-8). Stability of the Master Equation IFCC-NGSP is documented.

24 Annual Meeting of the IFCC HbA1c Working Group 28-Jan-2008
  The Annual Meeting was organised by Prof. H. Reinauer and Dr. P. Kaiser at the INSTAND institute in Duesseldorf, Germany. A major decision was the full confirmation of the Consensus Statement.

25 Manufacturer Meeting Milan 12-Dec-2007
