Latest news # Title / Description Posted on 1 Approval Reference Laboratory Shanghai 18-Nov-2011   After the 19th intercomparison study the Shanghai Center for Clinical Laboratory gained the status of approved Network Laboratory ! 2 Visit Korean delegation 26-Sep-2011   On 26 September a delegation from Korea Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, ASAN Medical Center, Konkuk University Hospital and Cheil General Hospital and Women's Healthcare Center visited the Network Laboratory of Dr. Weykamp in the Netherlands to learn about the Reference Measurement Procedure and the Network. 3 Change Korean candidate reference laboratory 3-Aug-2011   In Korea it was decided that the Reference Measurement Procedure will not be operatied by the Eone Reference Laboratory but by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Network welcomes this lab. 4 AACC/IFCC Manufacturer Forum 25-Jul-2011   On 25 July, during the AACC in Atlanta, a combined IFCC and NGSP Manufacturer Meeting was held. 5 Approval Reference Laboratory France 30-Jun-2011   After the 18th intercomparison study the candidate laboratory of the American Memorial Hospital, Reims, France gained the status of approved Network Laboratory ! 6 Eighteenth Intercomparison Study completed 29-Jun-2011   The first intercomparison study of this year to re-approve the individual network laboratories is finished. All laboratories kept their approved status.. 7 Annual Meeting of the IFCC Network in Berlin 23-May-2011   The IFCC Working Group had its annual meeting in Berlin. The network welcomed the candidate laboratories of China, Korea and India.. 8 Visit Chinese delegation 10-May-2011   On 10 May a delegation from the Shanghai Center for Clinical Laboratory, China visited the Network Laboratory of Dr. Weykamp to learn about the Reference Measurement Procedure and the Network.. 9 Annual meeting IFCC HbA1c network 10-Feb-2011   The annual meeting of the IFCC HbA1c network will be held in May during the IFCC Worldlab congress in Berlin. 10 Candidate Reference Laboratory South Korea 10-Dec-2010   The Network of Reference Labs welcomes Eone Reference Laboratory, South Korea, as candidate reference laboratory. 11 Candidate Reference Laboratory India 4-Oct-2010   The Network of Reference Labs welcomes Suraksha Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd. laboratory, India, as candidate reference laboratory. 12 Seventeenth Intercomparison Study completed 19-Aug-2010   The intercomparison studie of this year to re-approve (or not) the individual network laboratories is completed. All laboratories kept their approved status. 13 Candidate Reference Laboratory France 25-May-2010   The Network of Reference Labs welcomes the Laboratoire de Biologie et de Recherche Pédiatriques, American Memorial Hospital, CHU Reims, France as candidate reference laboratory. 14 Candidate Reference Laboratory China 10-Mar-2010   The Network of Reference Labs welcomes the Shanghai Center for Clinical Laboratory, China, as candidate reference laboratory. 15 Annual Meeting of the IFCC WG 23-Feb-2010   The IFCC Working Group had its annual meeting in Cape Town. Issues discussed were the status of the implementation of the IFCC units in respective countries, the Master Equation IFCC-JDS/JSCC and the initiation of the IFCC Integrated Project. 16 IFCC units implemented in the Netherlands 12-Nov-2009   The IFCC units are implemented in the Netherlands. The process is coordinated by a Steering Committee with representatives of patient organisations, associations of professionals and the society for clinical chemistry. A professional communical campaign to guide the change is coordinated by the umbrella organisation NDF, financially supported by the ministry of health. The change is described in a campaign guided by NHS, see NHS Leaflet. 18 Sixteenth Intercomparison Study completed 24-Aug-2009   The sixteenth Intercomparison Study of the HbA1c Netowrk of Reference Laboratories is completed. All laboratories kept their approved status. The list of approved network laboratories can be found on this website 19 IFCC Numbers in mmol/mol 5-Sep-2008   Following the Consensus Statement all Network Laboratories will start reporting their IFCC HbA1c results in mmol/mol starting from the 1st of October 2008. Manufacturers and EQA organisers collaborating with the Network are informed on this by mail. 20 Fifteenth Intercomparison Study completed 3-Sep-2008   The HbA1c Network of Reference Laboratories organises two intercomparison studies a year to re-approve (or not) the individual network laboratories. The updated list of approved network laboratories can be found at the homepage of this website. 21 Third Statistics Paper 10-Jul-2008   For the HbA1c Network specific statistics have been developed. The last paper in a series of three -on statistics of Master Equations- appeared in Clin Chem (Clin Chem 2008;54:1379-85). Two previous papers appeared in 2006: on rules for approval of network laboratories (Journal of Testing and Evaluation, Mar. 2006, vol. 34, No. 2) and on uncertainty calculations in the setting of networks (Accred Qual Assur (2006) 11: 319-328). 22 e-AG Study completed 24-Jun-2008   The Study to investigate the relation between HbA1c and Mean Blood Glucose (as referred to in the Consensus Statement) was published (Diabetes Care 2008;31) 23 Paper IFCC Network 18-Feb-2008   Publication: The IFCC Reference Measurement System for HbA1c: A 6-Year Progress Report (Clin Chem 2008;54:240-8). Stability of the Master Equation IFCC-NGSP is documented. 24 Annual Meeting of the IFCC HbA1c Working Group 28-Jan-2008   The Annual Meeting was organised by Prof. H. Reinauer and Dr. P. Kaiser at the INSTAND institute in Duesseldorf, Germany. A major decision was the full confirmation of the Consensus Statement. 25 Manufacturer Meeting Milan 12-Dec-2007   Under auspicies of the IFCC Scientific Division and the IFCC Working Group a meeting was organised for Manufacturers to discuss the implications of the Consensus Statement.
